ROYAL COLLEGE NAMUGONGO formerly known as ROYAL COLLEGE MISINDYE was founded by a team of Directors and was opened on 06/02/2006. Purely Private, Mixed Day and Boarding, both ‘O’ and ‘A’ Level school.
Royal College Namugongo is located in Misindye village, approximately 3 to 4 kilometres from Namugongo protestant shrines.
The school opened with all facilities needed for the smooth running of the teaching and learning of the students that is to say, 10 classrooms, administration block, Laboratory block, library and enough boarding facilities.
It is fully registered by the ministry of education and sports under Reg. No PSS/R/73 and with UNEB Registration Number U2024.
So far Royal College Namugongo has been in existence for full 18 years and with a population of over 1000 students, over 50 staff members. Living by its motto “Determined We Succeed” and its mission “To Provide Quality Education in a Conducive Environment”.
Administration
The school management has an administration structure that has Board of Governors, Board of Directors, Head Teacher, Deputy Head Teacher, Dean of Students, Directors of Studies, Head of Different Departments.
The student leaders are democratically elected by the students annually.
